Hi, I'm Mark
OB1 Co-Founder
I am an architect, Professor for Digital Construction and author of the best selling book "The BIM Manager" which has been published in six languages. Over the last 20 years I have developed gained extensive experience in digital technologies, working as a BIM Manager and BIM Consultant in Australia, the Middle East and Europe.
I am the Founding Leader of the buildingSMART International Professional Certification program, board member of buildingSMART Switzerland and part of the European standards committee (CEN) for defining BIM competences.

I am an architect (MSc. Arch, ETSAV – Polytechnic University of Catalonia) and CEO of DDV, a BIM consultancy I have led since 2004, specialising in BIM implementation. My background combines architectural design and engineering, giving me broad expertise across multiple disciplines across the industry.
I lecture in BIM programs and speak at events around the world. I serve as Technical Coordinator of buildingSMART Spain and contribute to initiatives such as GuBIMCat, ITEC’s "We Build the Future" Commission, and the GuBIMclass classification system.
